NYSIM - Medical Procedures For Residency Kaplan has partnered with the NYU School of Medicine to provide a Medical Procedures for Residency course that is ideal for IMGs participating in the NRMP Residency Match cycle. The New York Simulation Center (NYSIM), a partnership of NYU Langone Medical Center and The City University of New York (CUNY), is one of the nation’s newest, largest and most sophisticated urban health science simulation teaching facilities.
- Covers 15 procedures required in medical and surgical residency and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) in a safe, supportive environment using evidence-based simulations.
- Promote the certificate of successful completion and ACLS certification on ERAS application and resume.
- NYU School of Medicine faculty demonstrate each procedure in small groups (≤5 students) and guide each student to successful completion. Plenty of time is provided for practice.
- Takes place over 2.5 days at NYSIM, a 25,000 square foot, state-of-the-art simulation center in Manhattan.
