Where is the app?

The app can be downloaded for FREE here:

If you do not have an iOS device, you can use the web version of the app when you log into your MCAT Advantage syllabus, under the "Additional Resources" tab.  Note that the web version of the flashcards do not work offline.

We also offer free MCAT flashcards for offline use for iOS devices, and available from the Apple App Store.  These 200 cards are a subset of the 1,450+ available to students in our courses.

Is this app available on the iPhone or Android?

This particular app is only available in mobile format for iOS devices and Android.  It will work on the iPad, but the images may not display correctly, as the app is optimized for the iPhone and Android phones. Students who do not have an iOS mobile device can access the web version of the app through iTunes.

How do I use the app?

The app includes 1000 flashcards covering frequently tested concepts in the Behavioral Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics. Users can create customized card sets and see statistics on their performance.

How do I select a set of cards to review?

Press the Create Deck button, select the subjects you wish to review, and then click the "Create" button at the bottom of the screen.

When you start, all of your cards will be classified as unanswered. As you review each card, you may indicate your understanding of the information—whether you know it, don’t know it, or are unsure of the card’s information. You can also skip a card by swiping across the front or back.

The app keeps track of your classification of the cards so you can customize future sets.

You can click the word "Help" in the lower right hand corner for additional assistance.

How can I track my progress?

As you review each set, you’ll see a running total of the number of cards you’ve viewed, alongside the total number of cards in the set.

Within the menu, go to "Card Stats" to track the percentage of cards you’ve answered for each subject and how many of those cards you know, are still unsure of, or just don’t know.

In what order are the cards presented?

Cards are randomized each time you create a new set to review.

What happens if I skip a card?

If you skip a card, it is counted as unanswered in your stats.

How can I erase my history and start over?

Under "Card Stats" you can click reset all of the cards.
