All Kaplan students who have been issued a Form I-20 and are on F-1 Visa status with Kaplan must be covered by health insurance for the duration of their entire enrollment period. The same is true for any dependents that accompany them on F-2 visa status.
When you arrive at Kaplan to begin your studies, you’ll be required to show written
proof of health insurance coverage. Please see the requirements below.
Your proof of insurance must show your name, the insurance provider and the start and end dates of your coverage.
Minimum coverage must provide:
- Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness;
- Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000;
- Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of exchange visitors to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000; and
- Deductibles not to exceed $500 per accident or illness.
