How do I get Adobe Reader?
- Go here.
- Uncheck the selections to also install the optional software (e.g. Free McAfee® Security Scan Plus, Google Toolbar, etc.).
- Click the button for Download Now. In a few moments, you'll see a window titled File Download. Choose Open or Run.
- The program will download. It will then be automatically followed by another window letting you know it is processing. Wait for it to finish.
- In the window titled Acrobat Reader Setup, click Next.
- Click Next again, and then click Next one more time. Now click Install. When the status bar has reached the end of the install box, click Finish.
- Restart your computer.
- Open the Adobe Reader from the icon on the desktop. Click Accept at the license agreement. You're all set!
Why is my browser freezing when I try to open a Kaplan PDF test or explanation?In some cases, Adobe Reader will not open properly which can cause your browser to freeze.
- Disable the Adobe Reader browser and force the Adobe Reader program to open as a new window.
- Open the Adobe Reader program, click the Edit menu and then select Preferences.
- Select the Internet category and uncheck the option Display PDF in browser.
- You will be prompted to restart your computer. Save your work and close any open applications before doing so.
- After restarting your computer, try the tests again.
- Open the PDF document within Adobe Reader.
- For the test or explanations you want to view, right-click on the Adobe Reader icon next to the item.
- Select Save target as and save the file to your computer.
- Open Adobe Reader. From the File menu, choose Open.
- Find the document you want to read, and click Open.

I'm using a Mac and it's telling me to enter a password to open PDF files. What do I do?The Mac OS X system allows users to view and print PDF files using Preview. Users running OS X10.3.3 or earlier might get a prompt from Preview asking for a password even if the document is not password-protected.
- Make Adobe Reader the default PDF viewer.
- Locate the PDF file you want to view.
- From the File menu, select Get Info.
- In the Info window, select Open with.
- Set the pop-up menu to Adobe Reader.
- Click the Change All button immediately below the pop-up menu.
