Clearing cookies and cache on PC

Reasons to clear cookies / cache (browser history)
  1. Blank web page
  2. Video not playing correctly.
  3. Webpages opening slow or non-responsive
  4. Web page not displaying new information
Clearing out a web browser’s cache does not delete bookmarks or your homepage.

Here are the steps in for clearing browser history for the various web browsers:


Internet Explorer 8
Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11

Microsoft Edge
Firefox V29+
Chrome V40+
Firefox for Mac
Chrome for Mac
Safari


Internet Explorer 8
  1. On the IE webpage select Tools dropdown and then select Internet Options.

  2. Then select Delete on the Internet Options page.

  3. Once you have selected Delete it will display the Delete Browsing History page. On this page you want to ensure the first four boxes are checked as shown. Then select Delete.

  4. After selecting Delete, it will display a prompt when the history has been cleared. Once this prompt has appeared you may close the deleting history display.

Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11
  1. On the IE webpage select the Gear  and then select Internet Options.

  2. Then select Delete on the Internet Options page.

  3. Once you have selected Delete it will display the Delete Browsing History page. On this page you want to ensure the first four boxes are checked as shown. Then select Delete.

  4. After selecting delete, it was display a prompt when the history has been deleted. Once this prompt has appeared you can close the deleting history display.

Microsoft Edge
 
  1. To clear history in Microsoft Edge Tap or click the Hub. It's the icon on top with three horizontal lines.
  2. Then select Clock Icon.

  3. Next click on Clear all History.
  4. On the next page make sure the first 5 boxes are selected.
  5. Then select Clear.
  6. It will display All clear when the browsing history has been deleted.

Firefox V29 or higher PC
  1. Click the menu button User-added image , choose History, and then Clear Recent History.

  2. Click the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear to choose Everything.
  3. The first four boxes should be checked.

  4. Then select Clear now.


Chrome V40 or higher PC
  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. In the top right, click the Menu User-added image.
  3. Then select More tools.
  4. Then select Clear browsing data.

  5. Next select from the drop down tab “the beginning of time”.
  6. Check the first 4 boxes and them select Clear browsing data.
  7. The history has been cleared when it displays the setting page.

Firefox for Mac
  1. In the menu bar, click on History > Clear Recent History.

  2. In the window that appears, click on the dropdown menu to the right of Time range to clear and select Everything. If necessary, expand the Details section and check the first four boxes.

  3. Click Clear Now. The progress wheel may spin for a few minutes, depending on how much data needed to be deleted. Once it has stopped, the process is complete.


Chrome for Mac
  1. Open Chrome web browser.
  2. Click on Chrome at the top of the page.
  3. Select Clear Browsing Data from the drop down tab.

  4. Then select   the beginning of time from the obliterate the following items.
  5. The first four boxes need to be selected.
  6. Next select Clear browsing data at the bottom of the page.

Safari
  1. Open Safari web browser.
  2. Click on Safari at the top of the page.
  3. Select Clear history from the drop down tab.

  4. This will display the clear history data page.
  5. Select from the drop down tab “all history”.
  6. Then select Clear History.
